This page holds a collection of useful Raspberry Pi related projects, guides, and hardware recommendations.
Raspberry Pi Projects
These are a few of my favorite projects, use them as a guide or for inspiration for a new project.
- Building a Raspberry Pi ADS-B Ground Station – Track aircraft flying in your area using a USB attached software defined radio.
- How to Control Power Outlets Wirelessly Using the Raspberry Pi – Use the Raspberry Pi as a home automation hub to control lights wirelessly throughout your house.
- Using the Raspberry Pi to Control a Bitcoin ASIC Mining Rig – This guide will teach you how to control one or more Bitcoin mining ASICS using the Pi.
Must have hardware to get your next Raspberry Pi project going. I use these 4 items for all of my Pi related projects.
Some useful extra items for building prototype circuits.
Solderless Plug-in BreadBoard – Essential item for electronics prototyping, grab a pack of jump wires to go along with it.
T-Cobbler Breakout Cable for Pi 2 – Works very well with a solderless breadboard. Provides easy access to all of the GPIO pins available on the Pi.
Breadboard Jumper Wire Assortment Pack – Great for use in solderless breadboards.
Assorted Clear LED w/ Resistors (8 Colors, Pack of 80) – I like to keep plenty of LEDs on hand for adding indicators to my circuits.
